He seemed very friendly and impressive to start........some few weeks later we learnt the opposite.
He needed money in advance right from the start, so we helped him out in May by giving him 2200 euros.
He also loaned money from other people, used their phones for credit and ran up accounts at local cafes.
He said his friend in El Campello could supply us hosteleria equipment at a very good price....we firstly gave him 500 euros deposit...........he then took a cheque we had signed in the office and cashed it for 2200 euros.
He told us for 2 weeks, that all the equipment was coming soon, that he had helped pack it and it look great....truck was delayed several days.....said we had to pay another 3000 euros cash.
We got the money out, and hid it in the office......he then found this and took it and this is the last we have seen of him.
We rang him that day and he said he had taken the money to give to the truck and would see us soon.......we think he was on the train back to Alicante.....having stolen a total of 7900 euros from us.
During the month he was with us, we have discovered that it was full of lies, he had not organised things like he said he had.......and we have had to start all over again.

You must be talking about a completely different man because when that incident happend mr Lombard was working for me in my restaurant in Ireland so please don’t try to talk about false information and one last thing trying to blow someonelse’s candle doesn’t make you shine any brighter

ReplyDeleteWhen I worked in Calpe spain Gary’s restaurant was very dodgy as he was used to hiring people who weren’t legal to work ,The restaurant was always up to some weird activity and that’s why many employees decided to leave , due this happening mr Lombard decided to confront the owner about his suspicious activity that various employees had witnessed about his business and told him that he was going to do the correct thing to go to the authorities , Gary didint like that and said to him that if he did that he would acusse him of stealing money of the hostelería equipment which mr lombrd sincerely offered him trying to help !! Not everything you read on the internet is true !
